6-6-09 - Rossburg,OH - Eldora Dream Qualified 34th out of 116 cars! Started 6th in the 5th heat race and finished 8th. Started 10th in the C feature and dropped out with suspension problems.
4.24.09 - 2009 season starts at Winston Speedway. 45 late models in attendence. A #22 draw would start Curt 4th in the 2nd heat race. Even with rough track conditions he was able to come in 2nd place and transfer to the A main. A #3 redraw would be the end of luck for #111 this evening, as the race started he dropped back to 8th spot until he stopped with a tire issue. Curt came pitside for a different right rear tire but that wasn't enough to help him move back through the field, ending with a 19th place finish.
9.20.08 - Curt breaks 23 year old WORLD RECORD !!
Many of you may know that Curt runs on both dirt and asphalt throughout the midwest, but on this Saturday night he would take the #111 dirt late model to the famous Kalamazoo Speedway. The event is named "Call of the Wild" as this night there are simply no rules and any car over 96" wheelbase can run - wedge bodies, billboards, wings, can all be found on this night.
He ran a 10.715 lap (yes that's correct!) to break the 10.746 lap of Randy Sweet set back in 1985. "Unbeliveable! We've never done anything like this on a dirt car before and had no idea we could even get close, let alone break the record", stated Curt after climbing through the cage top to exit the dirt billboarded machine. "It sounded like fun and I'm always up for something new, so late Thursday night we removed the roof and started assembling a board for this show", Curt added. He took a few hours off Friday evening... to go run 2nd in the #1 modified for Jeff Sayles at Hartford, then back to work on the dirt late! They finished the ride up Saturday and off the Kzoo and a new record! "Unbelieveable we're standing here and no way could we have done this without the crew help, thanks to everyone involved!"

2007 Season Review:
Summary:
DLM - Curt ran 13 races at 7 different tracks in the #111 UMP Dirt Late Model. He won 2 feature events each in a different chassis brand. One fast time, which broke a 5-year old record at a track Curt had never raced on before, Winston Speedway. Curt finished better than his starting position in all but 2 events this year. A new graphic package was debuted this season along with a new primary sponsor in Surfari Joe's Indoor Waterpark. Curt also welcomed a new partner this year in Bryan Hilbert, assisting with the MasterSbilt chassis program and new sponsor Premier Home and Landscape.
ALM - Curt was again in the Russell Racing #40 car this year. The team only ran 7 events but all were hi-profile, big purse events. The 40 car was a top 5 contender at most every event.

DLM - 8/31/07 - Hartford Speedway - It was Lane Automotive Championship night along with Lane employee night and over 100 of Curt's co-workers on hand for the night of racing. Curt had a dominating proformance this night winning both the heat and feature events. In winner's circle Curt commented, "it's always fun to win but it's even better on my employer's sponsored night along with a ton of co-workers in the stands!.'
DLM - 8/25/07 - Kamp Speedway, Boswell, IN - Started 17th and finished 15th.
DLM - 8/17/07 - Oakshade Raceway, Wausen, OH - 50 cars on hand. Finished 5th in the heat race, won the B Feature and RAIN won the feature tonight.
ALM - 8/9/07 - New Paris Speedway (IN) - $10,000 to win show brought 60 cars to the event. Curt qualified #5, which started him 15th in the main event. 60 laps into the event Curt was running 7th when he got spun and had to restart at the rear. He worked his way back to an 11th place finish.
ALM - 7/18/07 - Kalamazoo Speedway - The Kalamazoo Klash 157 laps for $30,157 to win! With 58 cars on hand Curt qualified 18th to lock into the prestigious race. Shortly after the 30 lap mark, smoke appeared behind the 40 car and he was sent to the pits. A cracked oil pan ended the night for the #40.
DLM - 7/13/07 - Hartford Speedway - Curt debut's new MasterSbilt chassis! With typical new car blues in the heat race Curt had to start the feature from the 14th spot where he powered the new #111 up to a 3rd place finish.
ALM - 7/4/07 - M40 Speedway in Jones, MI - 100 lap $30,001 to win! Started 13th, worked up to the 7th spot only to get a flat tire. After installing new rubber on the left front Curt was able to work from the tail up to a 12th place finish.
ALM - 6/23/07 - Kalamazoo Speedway - Hardings 100 - Tune Up for Kzoo Klash - 12th quick time starts Curt on the pole and after a quick race with only one caution the #40 ends up in the fouth position. 4th Place
DLM - 6/22/07 - Hartford Speedway - Returning after missing several weeks to HSP the #111 quickly found its groove finishing in second place for both the heat and the feature. 2nd Place
DLM - 5/18/07 - I-96 Speedway - World of Outlaws invade Michigan for the only time in 2007. With a great qualifying run Curt had a good starting spot for the heat race only to end up in battle with an infield tractor tire - the tire won, sending #111 pitside with many repairs to be done. With the help of many crew members, fans and other racers Curt lined up 10th in the last chance race and ran to a 3td place finish to transfer to the A main. After starting the tail of the A, the #111 wasn't competitive after the many repairs and retired with a 22nd place finish - Still a great run as only a few Michigan racers even made the show.
DLM - 5/4/07 - Harford Speedway - Back in the Winners Circle, New Sponsors debuted with New Graphic package and straight to Victory Lane. 1st Place.
ALM - 4/28/07 - Kalamazoo Speedway - Loose car ends with 40 car pitside. 16th Place

DLM - 4/20/07 - Hartford Speedway - Opening night starts with a crash. As the Green flag waved for the start of the heat race, Curt found himself tangled with another car and a flat tire sent him pitside. Not finishing the heat meant a 19th starting spot for the feature, by mid-way Curt had worked into the top 10 and with a last lap pass off turn 4, he ended up with a 3rd Place Finish.
